 I will most likely never finish Send in the Clowns. The thing is cursed. Even setting aside the racism and transphobia, I cannot in good conscious write cops as sympathetic or likeable in any way. I cannot post this on ao3. Yet I do have pride in some parts and I know people want to read it, so I'll post links here to the google doc.

Personally I think writing cops as good guys is preferable to writing the Mafia as good guys, but I'm aware I've been fortunate in my very limited dealings with the former. Sorry again about not being able to help you with this.

I mean my intention was to show the Mafia as parasitic and not as cool and honorable as they make themselves out to be. I also had some plans to show the cops as not great too. But the story still seems too nice to cops.
